"This unit works great. I have a 20,000-gallon pool; installation was a breeze. It will work on above or in-ground pools if you have the system pictured that I do. But the main thing to make a salt generator work properly is you first have to get your water in perfect condition before you turn on the salt unit. Your pH has to be perfect, your chlorine stabilizer has to be perfect, your alkalinity has to be perfect. Then you add enough salt to your water—mine took 15 40-pound bags of salt to achieve the 3400 ppm. Once you have the pool water chemistry perfect, this unit will take care of it. Highly recommend! Plus, I jump-started mine by using 5 bags of chlorine shock. Very satisfied after a month with not adding or doing anything else to the pool water."
